I had a few minor problems with The Dark Knight - one being, why did they have to alter Christian Bale's voice so drastically when he became Batman? The thing that makes me like Batman more than other superhero characters is that his powers are less "super" and more a result of cool gadgets, superior physcial conditioning and mental agility. To me, the weird, not-quite-human voice adds an unwelcome element of the supernatural.

I understand the reason for the shift in tone (he has to disguise his voice for fear of being recognized, plus it expresses the anger of the Batman), but the way they do it makes him sound like he should be voicing an animated bear, instead. It takes me out of the film. I'm perfectly happy and willing to accept most everything else, but for some reason the voice snaps me right out of that.

With that being said, I do very much want to see this film again.
